Dr. Roush has been a medical oncologist and hematologist with CMOH since 1991. He places strong emphasis on treating the whole patient, including understanding the other medical, social or emotional problems that his patient may be facing while they undergo cancer treatment.
He believes that one of the strengths of the CMOH program is the depth and breadth of support that patients receive from their entire treatment team.
Dr. Roush is a member of the American Society for Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. He takes an active role in attending educational meetings and bringing information back from those meetings to share with his colleagues.
"Coordination and communication are keys to good patient care. It is important to make sure that the patient understands what is happening, and that the primary care physician and others involved in the patient's care are informed and involved."
