In addition to being recognized as one of the region's top community oncologists, Dr. Sprandio is also a national leader in developing patient centered care for cancer patients. His program, Oncology Patient Centered Medical Home, provides both a philosophical base and a proven system for delivering high quality care to CMOH patients, as well as a model for community and hospital based practices nationally. His commitment to high quality cancer treatment, coordination of care, and excellent communication is the heart and soul of his practice and the OPCMH model. Dr. Sprandio writes and speaks frequently on OPCMH and healthcare issues to national audiences, directs the CMOH practice, and continues to see patients.
"Oncologists know what to do. We need to move quickly to define, measure, and maximize the value of the Oncology Patient Centered Medical Home Model to become responsible, accountable, and able to achieve the goals of better cancer care, better health and lower cost through improved delivery of care."
